PSD HS/EHS uses the Creative Curriculum which is based on scientifically valid research and developmentally appropriate practices for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Creative Curriculum stood out and was chosen for its research basis, training materials and opportunities, and ease of use. Our chosen curricula also support all of the required OHS domains including language and literacy development; cognition and general knowledge; approaches toward learning; physical well-being and motor development; and social and emotional development. Further, classrooms are observed using the Infant-Toddler Classroom Assessment Scoring System (EHS & CCP) and the Pre-K Classroom Assessment Scoring System (HS & Pre-K) to monitor the quality of teacher-child interactions. These, among other tools, are used to ensure that all children are receiving high-quality early childhood services.
