Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (E.R.S.E.A.) tasks are very important in that they govern how programs determine eligibility, enroll children, and track attendance. The ERSEA Coordinator (EC) evaluates and monitors systems to process enrollment applications, including determination of eligibility and selection criteria.
Services include:
– In-person interviews with each family
– Verification of documentation provided
– Creation an eligibility determination record that includes examining whether:
1. Family’s income is below or at the poverty line;
2. The family is eligible for public assistance, such as TANF;
3. The child is homeless; or,
4. The child is in foster care; or
5. If the child has a disability
– Coordination of recruitment efforts and summer enrollments
– Monitoring of child attendance and wait-lists
