According to the Head Start Program Performance Standards, all HS/EHS programs must establish and implement a systematic approach to staff training and professional development designed to assist staff in acquiring or increasing the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality, comprehensive services within the scope of their job responsibilities. The Head Start Professional Development Coordinator develops and coordinates professional development programs and events, and facilitates the delivery of workshops that serve the professional, educational, and training needs of Picayune School District Early Childhood Programs.
